Your Robco Tornado twisting machine can run for many years and is nearly indestructible. However, the electrical components installed in the machine have a shorter life span and those parts can be discontinued due to newer technologies, regulations, etc.
We have designed an electrical upgrade kit, which transforms your old Tornado twisting machine into a modern twister.
You will get the newest software including a user-friendly interface in a new design, new maintenance program and many other new features.
When should you upgrade your Twister?
• If your machine has broken electronics, which can no longer be purchased.
• If phasing out your old electrical components has led to higher spare part prices.
• If you are the owner of an old Tornado in a good mechanical condition but you want to benefit from the newest software and modern hardware.

• Schneider HMI panel
• Schneider PLC
• Schneider Inverter
• Power Supply
• Fan
• Internal LED light
• Coil for solenoid valves for top cover

Please note:
• The upgrade kit fits the Tornado 250, Tornado 300 and Tornado 400.
• All parts need to be exchanged at the same time, as the new system communicates by the Can Bus among all the units.
• If the Tornado is integrated with a PU300 pretwister or an active AD300 doffing robot, some electrical modification is also needed on these machines.
• The upgrade requires an industrial electrician or alternatively a Robco service engineer. The installation takes approx. 8-10 hours per machine.
